The remodeled EGUSD Board Room will continue to serve as a versatile, inclusive, and welcoming space for staff and community meetings, training/workshops, events, and other gatherings that support educational and community engagement.

2024-2025 Board Meeting Schedule

Below is the Board Meeting schedule for the 2024-25 school year that include six (6) special board meeting dates. Note that the schedule varies from the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays. Closed session begins at 5:00 p.m. and open session begins at 6:00 p.m. Special board meetings are held from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on the dates indicated below. Note: Finalized agendas will be available 72 hours prior to the meeting date/time.

Public Comment

The following processes, means, and timeframes shall be available for public comment during board meetings.

During regular Board Meetings, Public Comment may be made On Items Not on the Board Agenda, but within the school district’s jurisdiction during the Public Comment section of the agenda. Please note that “If the public comments [are] on items not appearing on the posted agenda, the board cannot take action or discuss the public comments other than the Board President briefly acknowledging the comments.” (EGUSD Governance Handbook)
Public comment may be made on All items that are on the agenda and will be heard when the selected item comes up on the agenda.
Requests to make public comment will be accepted for an item up until the Board President introduces the item.
Generally, members of the public will be given 3 minutes to address the board.
If there are 15 or more comments on a specific item, the board will reduce individual comment time to 2 minutes each.
If there are 30 or more comments on a specific item, the board will reduce individual comments to 1 minute each.
Individuals may not defer their time to another individual speaker to increase their total speaking time.

American with Disabilities Compliance Notice

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with a disability requiring special assistance to access written documents discussed at the Board meeting that are available on the District’s website, please contact Ludi Avalos at (916) 686-7700. Notification of at least 24 hours prior to the meeting will enable the District to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility and to provide disability-related accommodation, auxiliary aids or services.

Document Availability

Documents provided to a majority of the Governing Board regarding an open session item on meeting agendas will be posted online, attached to the final Board meeting agenda for public inspection.

Board meetings will be recorded and made available on EGUSD's YouTube channel. Elk Grove Unified and its Board of Education are not responsible for any technical difficulties experienced by the viewer, nor are they responsible for any technical difficulties experienced in making or uploading any video recording.
